Winter Preparations

Please start getting prepared for the winter months.  Start hauling firewood for the elders & the vurnerable in your family.  DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE.

The weather has been unpredictable for the summer months. Chances are the winter months are going to be unpredictable, as well.

Coal Cards

Visit the chapter to pick up a coal card. The card can be redeemed at NTEC Near NAPI

Coal yard opens:  October 25, 2023 – March 30, 2024

Open: 8am to 4pm (Lunch 12:00pm to 12:30pm)

Tickets Expire March 30, 2024

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

  • Applications can be picked up at the chapter
  • Applications mus be turned into chapter first, prior to Planning Meeting
  • All required documents must be submitted as a packet with application. (otherwise incomplete)
  • Applicants must be a Registered Voter
  • Required documents checklist will be attached to application
  • Newly Registered Voters must wait 6 month, beginning on registration date to receive any Financial Assistance

  • (Truck load rate is no longer applicable) 

6% Navajo Nation sales tax is included in overall rates

$ 0.53 for each bag

All trash must be in Trash bags

WHL - senior Citizen center events

 Elders are able to dine in the Senior Center

  • Registering elders age 60+
  • Visit your Parents, Grandma, Grandpa & Naali’s.            *Make sure they have firewood, food, water.
  • Please check on elders Regularly

    About the Whitehorse Lake Chapter

    Whitehorse Lake Chapter is located in the Eastern Agency. It is 28 miles east of Crownpoint, New Mexico on Route 9.

    Whitehorse Lake Chapter conducts 2 monthly meetings (Planning & Regular) to keep constituents informed. The public forum is held to discuss and resolve any issues at the chapter level. Concerns and views are expressed directly to Officials, to improve local matters.

    PLANNING MEETINGS ARE BEING CONDUCTED via TELECONFERENCE.
